Landscaper Gilles Clément has designed here the ‘Jardin des Méditerranées’, an invitation to travel through the Mediterranean countryside and the dry subtropical countryside.
It is possible to have lunch on the terrace in the heart of the garden and enjoy cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean Gardens.
At the entrance to the garden you will also discover the largest bookstore in France dedicated to nature.
Maison Foncin
This big Bourgeois building is the first donation made to the coastal conservation just after it was set up in 1977.
It was built in 1890 by Pierre Foncin (1841-1916), Doctor of Lettres.
He was one on the founders of the ‘Aliance Francaise’ (1883).
Isolated from the world, ‘the Big White House’ as the locals call it, dominates the scenery of the ‘Corniche de Maures’ and characterises a site of tremendous rich heritage.
Maison Foncin is accessible on foot via the Fenouillet path opposite of the Clos Des 7 Palmiers.
